Well hey there. I'm Dan. I'm an art student at Bethel University in Minnesota. What you can expect me to post here: I have a wide and strange variety of interests in art, music and what-not, so I end up reblogging a lot of things that inspire me (usually when I'm bored). Vanity, self-centeredness. When people are afraid to be themselves, or pretend to be things that they’re not. When people don’t put thought into what they say.

School. I didn’t do so well this last semester and I’m going on my sixth year, and the technicalities are a nightmare. Explaining the technicalities to friends and acquaintances is even more of a nightmare.

thenewrenaissanceman: Favorite Print method? (If you've been exposed to more than one)
Ooh. Well, I have a little experience in intaglio, litho, woodcut (including linocut and ukiyo-e), and some monotype, and I love them all quite a bit, but I’d have to say woodcuts are my favorite to do. I love the entire process, especially the carving. It’s very therapeutic to me. I love the raw, bold line quality you can achieve with it. I suppose I’d group linocuts in too, but I haven’t actually done very many, and I kind of like weird juxtaposition of archaic methods and modern ideas when working with wood.

I kind of have 3. Duluth, MN, Grand Marais, MN, and Banff, AB. They’re all nostalgic, have lots of natural beauty, and are fun to walk around.

My upcoming thesis show downtown, summer, next semester. I’m anxious about all of those too.

Dan is technically one, cause my real name is Daniel. There are a couple people who have called me other things, but… meh.

Nah. I eat meat.

Not really. I’ve met band members at their concerts, but I’m extremely socially awkward in those situations so it was nothing special.
